  • Nature Photography Contest 

    CONTEST RULES

    Photos must be taken within Lake Griffin State Park between October 1 – December 20, 2024. The winners will be announced January 10, 2025.  

    There is no entry fee.

    You may enter as many times as you wish, provided that each submission is unique and satisfies the submission requirements. 

    All submissions are to be submitted electronically without any alterations, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame. 

    The submission must be the submitting entrant’s original work and not contain any third party copyrighted materials, nor obscene, defamatory or illegal material. 

    Each entrant must sign in at the ranger station as a contest participant at least once during the contest period.  At that time your entrance fee will be waived for entry into the park. 

    Entries will be judged by two members of the Friends of Lake Griffin State Park governing board and a state park employee.  All decisions are final.  Friends of Lake Griffin State Park reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.  

    By participating in the contest, each entrant understands and agrees to the use of photographs by the Friends of Lake Griffin State Park for advertising purposes in the State Park, the FLGSP.org website, and Facebook.  

    Submit all entries to lgsphoto359@gmail.com by December 31, 2024.

    The winner will receive a cash prize of $200.  Two contestants will be given honorable mention and will receive a one-year membership to Friends of Lake Griffin State Park, which includes 12 free entries to the park during the year. Honorable mention contestants will also receive one free kayak tour of their choosing.

    The winner will be contacted via email address provided during entry.  If no response is received after three [3] business days a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize. 

    State Park employees and members of the Friends of Lake Griffin State Park board of directors may not participate in the contest. 

    This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
